The pursuit of ideal comfort

How to choose the right comfort

The Zigflex mattress collection is designed to accommodate various sleeping requirements and styles. Each mattress therefore satisfies different performance levels and feelings. When choosing a mattress, it would therefore be ideal to take comfort into account. The comfort of the mattress is the first feeling you get when you lie down. Comfort is achieved by the characteristics of the materials that make up the inner core of the mattress and the cover. The cover produces the first feeling whereas the internal core provides support and sustainment.

The figure provides a schematic representation of the function of support (or capacity rating) that needs to be differentiated depending on the areas of the body. This function is performed by the internal structure.
Firmness is the first feeling you get when you lie down. It is provided by the cover: the more it is padded, the softer the firmness will feel.
The result of support + perception determines the comfort level.

Types of comfort

Firm comfort
Perception: soft and enveloping, provided by the padded covers and by the first layer of the internal structure in Memory foam, Ormagel, Air Clima. Support: ergonomic, dynamic, according to the shaping and to the different materials that make up the internal structure, both in foam and also independent springs (1000/2000)*, that adapt individually to each point of the body.

Balanced comfort
Perception: less enveloping, less thick or absence of Memory foam, Ormagel or Air Clima, while remaining soft in the case of padded covers. Support: anatomical, flexible as in the case of the foam box with a single density or system with independent springs (400/800)*.

Supported comfort
Perception: not enveloping since the covers have less padding or none at all.
Support: ergonomic and load-bearing, orthopaedic provided by the rigid foam internal core, or box with traditional springs.
*The number of independent springs that make up the core of the single/double mattress.

The You&Me system allows you to choose the most suitable side for your needs, with more support or firmer, eliminating those tiresome jolts when you are sleeping and your partner wakes you by turning over. When the two partners have differences in weight, height, or even different preferences in comfort, being able to change the mattress behaviour on both sides makes all the difference.

Depending on your preference, you can turn over both individual layers, which will then be sealed in place by the cover, and become inseparable.

It is always the right side

Zigflex mattresses were designed to provide the best user experience. Not just to sleep well and to live well, but also for the maintenance of the mattress, which becomes simple. Flipping the mattress over and turning it top-to-toe is necessary both for its proper preservation over time and also to use a different comfort level. The structure of the mattress is stressed for 8 hours a day and should be turned over to stress different points with our weight.

If you don’t want to change the comfort level, simply turn it top-to-toe, whereas if you want to change the comfort level, flip it over without wondering which is the right side. Turning the mattress top-to-toe or flipping it over is recommended at least every three months to keep its performance unchanged.
